Hope someone can help me solve this mystery:
Henry THOMPSON, b. ?, Robeson Co., SC, d. c. 1866, Marlboro Co. SC, mar. Ann
COTTINGHAM, b. ?, Marlboro Co., SC, d. ?
Children:
William
Benjamin F.
Patricia (SWANN)
Rebecca (Weatherly)
Daughter ?
Daughter ?

I can find no records for Ann or Henry THOMPSON except for Henry's probate
records which indicate he died c. 1866-1867 and names his wife Ann.

An obituary from the Pee Dee Advocate, dated 3/31/0904 reads, "Mrs. Ann
Thomas died March 20 at the age of 72 and was buried at Hebron. She was the
mother of William Thompson, Ben Thompson, Mrs. William Swann, Mrs. Wallace
Swann, Mrs. Robert Weatherly, and Mrs. Lendon McCaskell."

An entry in "Cemetery Records of Marlboro County, SC", reads, "Hebron
Cemetery - Ann Thomas, w. of J. H., Mar. 25, 1833; Mar. 30, 1904."

Are these all the same Ann (COTTINGHAM) Thompson? Is the Thomas a misspelling
or did Ann remarry a Thomas after Henry's death?

I would be happy to share any information with anyone who is interested or
can provide any clues.
