Hello I think I have posted a message before but here it is again. I am
looking for Brigman's and Grant's and Chavis from around Marlboro and maybe
Chesterfield Co. I dont have many dates because most of my information is
over the phone with family who dont really know anything or just dont want to
talk about it... Which one I dont know. But I am very interested in what my
family history has to say bad or good....:)
I am looking for the family for Alex Brigman who married a Mary or Martha,
they had a son named Arthur Brigman who married a Mary Brigman of Union Co.
(this I was told.) Arthur is my GGrandfather. I was told that Alex had a
brother named John and one named Ben. Now that could be short for Benjamin.
My grandmother said that all of her people lived in and around the same area.
and that would be between Cheraw and Bennettsville SC. I am also looking for
the Grant in and around the area. William Henry Grant born 1864 and died in
1936. He married a Flora Chavis, and 2nd wife Sallie Chavis. He had all his
children with Flora. I was sent information on William Henry Grant's mother
and father. But I have been asking my grandmother and she dont know any of
the names. so not sure on that would like to have more informtion to go on.
I would like to thank everyone who has given me information to help me
along. This has been harder than what I first thought it would be. As I
live in Oklahoma and I am triing to find information in SC. And of corse
family members down there dont seem to know anything or just not telling...ha
ha ha... I wish everyone luck.
