BENNETTSVILLE -- Services for Dessie E. Taylor Hood, 83, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Whitner-Evans Funeral Home with burial in Brownsville Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation is 6-8 tonight at the funeral home.
Mrs. Hood died Jan. 16, 2002. Born in Marlboro Co. she was a daughter of the late Luther and Edith Meggs Taylor. She was married to the late Thomas Hood.

Surviving are sons, Otis Hood of Laurinburg, Thomas Hood of Bennettsville; daughters, Loretta Dickey of Myrtle Beach, Ethel Campbell of Laurinburg and Dorothy Mumford of Bennettsville; four sisters; 10 grandchildren
