BENNETTSVILLE - Mrs. Alice Memory Chappelear White, 80, died Saturday,
January 22, 2005. Born December 21, 1924, in Bennettsville, a daughter of
the late Claude W. and Rachel Howell Chappelear. Mrs. White was a retired
Executive Secretary with Emerson Electric and a former Executive Secretary
for the County Manager of Marlboro County. She was a member of the First
Church of the Nazarene and was married to the late Orrin White.

Surviving are: brothers, Claude W. Chappelear, (Nina), of Charlotte, Jack H.
Chappelear, of Cheraw, Hugh Edward Chappelear, (Lib), of Bennettsville; a
sister, Betty Gibbs, (Billy), of Florence; nieces and nephews. She was
preceded in death by a brother, James W. Chappelear.

Services will be held at 2 pm Tuesday at the First Church of the Nazarene.
Entombment will follow in Chatham Hills Cemetery in Cheraw. Visitation is
1-2 pm Tuesday at the church. Memorials may be made to the First Church of
the Nazerene, 212 Beauty Spot East, Bennettsville, SC 29512 or a charity of
one's choice
