BENNETTSVILLE - Patricia Chavis Thomas, age 55, died February 31, 2005. Born
in Marlboro County, she was the daughter or Irene Kirsey Mayes and the late
Henry Rufus Chavis. She was a former manager of the Super 10 in Cheraw. She
was a member of Ebenezer United Methodist Church.



Surviving are her mother, Irene K. Mayes, Boca Raton, FL; one daughter, Beth
Norris of Chesterfield, S.C.; one son, Tim Thomas of Lumberton, N.C.; one
brother, Charles Chavis of Jacksonville, FL; one sister, Ginger England of
Wallace, S.C.; also two children she reared in her home, Carl Pate of Laurel
Hill, N.C., and Tina Moody of Laurinburg, N.C. Also surviving is her special
friend, JoAnn Wensil of Wallace, S.C.; five grandchildren.



Services will be held on Saturday April 2, 2005, at 1 p.m. at Ebenezer
United Methodist Church with burial in Chavis Cemetery.



Norton Funeral Home of Cheraw is serving the Thomas family.
