Kathleen,
I received two more this morning from the same guy I complained about
last week. Can he not be deleted from watching the list? Also why does
rootsweb not let the ISP's know that their services are being abused this
way? Every person who sends out this attachment virus' should loose their
right to internet access. It is only by banding together to make the public
aware of who this low-lifes are that we will get it stopped. They are
cowardly nobodies with no scruples who hide and try to destroy the private
property of anyone and everyone they can. I believe it can only be stopped
by exposing the people who are doing it. They are not brave enough to have
the world know who they are so they hide behind anonymous screen names. I
refuse to be intimidated by them. I will not stop posting queries to the
various list I am on nor will I stop answering queries. I do not care who
knows my name or my e-mail address. I will not hide behind a screen name and
anyone who does is a waste of my time and talent!
I have contacted the FCC since these e-mails are sent over telephone
lines in most cases. I am sure that there must be a statute that makes this
illegal use of the telephone. If not, then there should be should
legislature so that these persons can be stopped before they are allowed to
do anyone more harm. If enough people complained there would be something
done about it. It is against the law to send a bomb in the mail. What makes
these e-mails different? Instead of the postal service it is the
telecommunications companies that are being used. Therefore it is the job of
the FCC to catch and convict the persons who are damaging personal and
private property of American taxpayers.
