Thanks, Gene. It seems like I've heard something about the Anderson
library, but it's another resource I haven't had time to check out. I
have a 3 year old who doesn't like to be quiet in libraries. I'll add
it to my list.

I haven't really been working on the Moore's very much, but my husband
and father-in-law have shown some interest in having me do so. Heck,
that line can't be any worse than most of my others - Smith and Wall.
All I have on the Moores so far is that they were in Pickens in 1920.
They were Jim and Bettie Moore and 12 children; the youngest being James
Virgil, my husband's grandfather. My Pickens/Oconee ancestors were
Talleys and Whitmires; if you happen to have anything on any of them I'd
appreciate it.

Thanks again,

Terry

Terry, You might try the Genealogical Room of the Anderson County
Library in
Anderson, SC. I have been there on a number of occasions and find it
very
satisfactory. I have a number of SC Moore's in my genealogy. If you
would
let us know what lines and/or individuals you are looking for it would
be
helpful in helping you.
