This might be a dumb question, please be kind......but When did obituaries
begin to be published? I have been searching in vain for my 5th
g-grandfather's burial place, or even date of death for what seems like
forever. He lived in Paisley, Abbey and in my 2nd gg-grandfathers auto-bio
he mentions that he was a deacon at a local church there in 1765. He must
have died in the early 1800's. His wife was Margaret McAshlane. I would
appreciate any advice that you may have. Thanks so much.
