Hi

I've been asked by a friend to help research his family tree, however I have
never done any research on a scottish family before and from what websites
I've been able to see the information is not so freely available as it is in
England. I've been on Scotlandspeople and their records for births stop at
1905 and I need to know how do I go about finding a birth that took place in
Greenock between 1918 & 1930 (different family members give different dates).

Any help appreciated.
