The 1881 Canadian Census is on-line here.....
If you just want the census then click the left side of the screen where it says Census and then fill in the info you know. I'd just start on this page though and check what information it gives you in all of the files on who you're looking for.
The 1901 Census is also on-line but it's harder to use because it isn't indexed.

Thanks Sherry, now all I have to do ism get the link from the Stockands of
Ottawa to the Camerons of Chatham.
If I can get that then I'm going to try to find what happened to Willie,
Alec and Ida I have found that there was a 4th child who died as a infant
Im new at both computers and geneolagy and have a lot of fun??? at trying to
figurte both out

Census( I haven't been able to get details on the census to find out what
children were in the family, but I do know he was a widowerat that time.
Verbal family history tells me that the Stockands came from from thr
Ortkneys but I couldn't find any links thru scotlandspeople.gov.uk. any
info or help greatly appreciated
