Hi,Emma.

As usual, (it seems)on your list you have a John Scott born sometime in
early 1800 with, no other information related to his life. One of the
people driving me nuts (pardon me, nuttier) is My John M. Scott. who married
Margaret A. Dowell. She states in her request for pension papers, that they
were married in Aug 4,1836 in Breckinridge County by (MG) B. Snyder. (I
cannot find a marriage record.) John died April 2, 1877 in Perry Co.
Indiana. Hired a professional researcher and still could find no record of
his death or burial. Margaret was found in Shelby Ill and Jasper Missouri
living with her sons and then died 9-19-1898 in Lamar, Missouri. A Robert
Bowes paid for her funeral.

Many members of this Family went to Missouri, then to Shelby and Moultrie
Ill. in the late 1800s. My Benjamin C. went on to Nebraska.

Booker and Savannah both state they were born in Breckinridge County KY in
other printed material. In an article on (Frank) Francis C. Scott, he stated
he was born in Martin Co. IN.

Beside the possibility that my John Scott could fit into your family, I was
attracted to the Mary Darcas, as I wonder if Dorris Scott could be a
brother of my John. Also curious about the child Mary A. D. Scott in this
family. Of course I am curious about any of these peoples middle names.

I cannot find either of these peoples families and also need a lot of help!

Hope we can connect.

Sandra L. (Scott) Nelson
