Hello Scribner Researchers,

Our mail list has been extremely quiet in the past several months so I
decided to check on our subscriber status. We have 34 researchers
subscribed in the "List" mode and 15 in "Digest" mode. With that many
of us looking into this family's history, surely some of us can make a
connection! I am hoping that each of you will participate and get some
interest stirred up on this list by posting your most wanted Scribner.

From what I have seen in my research, there are two main lines -- each
with many branches -- of this family. The older lineage seems to have
originated in New England and the younger line in Tennessee. Branches
have spread to nearly every state in the U.S., so I would like all our
Scribner researchers to post a message with a subject line like "TN
Scribner 1750 to 1800", then list the folks in your specific line in the
body of the message. Feel free to add information that could help
someone identify the person and make a connection with you, or list the
query you most want answered.

Success in your research comes when you are actively working with your
surnames.

Happy hunting,

--
