Subject: [SC] More on Land grant maps

I have received lots of requests and am getting to them as I can. I want to
point out that the value of looking at the map is that you see the neighbors
and surrounding territory. Even such things as churches and cemeteries are
marked. There are also some schools and river crossings. I knew my
relatives had land in this area but seeing where it is on the maps map is
exciting. There are 24 acutal detailed maps in the book plus an overview map
which shows you where each of the detailed maps come from in these counties.
Remember the counties covered are only parts of Chester, Fairfield,
Greenville, Laurens, Newberry, Spartanburg, and Union. These folks (Union
Historical Foundation) did a lot of work. Sandy
