In my response to your questions about the SC Archives, I said as follows:
Welcome to SC and good luck with your research. If you need to do any
research in Orangeburg on your way, you can exit on US 301 North from I-26
on the way up, or on US 601 South from I-26 on the way back to FL.

I should have said "you can exit on US 301 SOUTH from I-26" (to Orangeburg)
Orangeburg is south-west of I-26.
