AIKEN, SC---William H. "Pete" Jenkins, 89, of Toolebeck Road, died Monday, July 2, 2001 at his residence. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Thursday, July 5, 2001 at First Baptist Church, MONTMORENCI, SC.

Mr. Jenkins was a native of UNION COUNTY, and was the son of the late William Richard & Elizabeth Harris Jenkins. He was the husband of the late Bernice Johnson Jenkins. He was retired from the South Carolina Department of Transportation, and was a member of Montmorenci First Baptist Church.

Survivors include his son, Brent Jenkins of SUMTER, SC; a daughter, Charlotte Patnode of SOUTHERN PINES, NC; 3 grandchildren; 2 step-grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren; 4 step-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers, will be Trey Martin, Calvin Beck, Blenn Martin, Robbie Martin, Jimmy Boothe, Bruce Wingate, & Jerry Love. Memorials may be made to the church. The family will receive friends at Rivers Funeral Home from 7-9 this evening.
