CHAPIN, SC---Robert M. Broadwell Sr, 70, died Monday, July 2, 2001. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, July 6, 2001 at St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, Chapin.

Mr. Broadwell, a former Aiken resident, and was also a former CPA. He was a native of SUMTER, SC, and a member of St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church. He was the son of the late Edwin Thompson & Mabel Platt Broadwell.

Survivors include his wife, Dell M. Walker Broadwell; a daughter, Jane Broadwell of LONG BEACH, CA; 2 sons, Robert Broadwell Jr. of CHAPIN & Alan Broadwell of BLYTHEWOOD; 2 brothers, Edwin Broadwell of SUMTER & William Broadwell of SPARTANBURG, SC; 2 sisters, Dorothy Rumph of SUMTER & Emily Hull of ORLANDO, FL; 4 grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Broadwell Memorial Scholarship Fund, c/o St. Francis of Assisi Episcopal Church, 755 Old Lexington Highway, Chapin, SC 29036. Caughman-Harman Funeral Homes of Irmo is in charge of arrangements.
