I am so very interested in your post regarding William Lavender. Hugh Smith Lavender was my gggg grandfather. I have found records indicating he lived near Wateree Creek and was from Antrim, Ireland. However, I have been unable to trace his history further back than that. Do you have more info? I would surely appreciate having it.
