Zopher Smith, Revolutionary War Militia Man, Son of the Elder Ralph
Smith and brother of Capt William Smith, Aaron Smith, and Samuel Smith,
died intestate. No will or probate listing his children has been found.
Zopher is buried in a small family graveyard with his son William M.
(Creek Billy) Smith, near Walnut Grove, next to Dutchman's Creek,
between Murph Road and Smith branch.

The following is mostly based on a transcript of an unpublished
manuscript by William A. Smith. Tying to establish a provable link
between Zopher and his children that will be accepted by the Sons or
Daughters of the American Revolution.
Will gladly share information and sources with anyone.


1. ZOPHER SMITH (RALPH3, WILLIAM2, WILLIAM1) was born 26 November,
1756 in PA, and died Bef. 21 March, 1816 in Glenn Springs Township,
Spartanburg, SC. He married JANET MEADOWS.

3. WILLIAM M.SMITH (ZOPHER4, RALPH3, WILLIAM2, WILLIAM1) was born 30
January, 1812 in Glenn Springs Township, Spartanburg, SC, and died 20
February, 1895 in Glenn Springs Township, Spartanburg Co, SC. He
married (1) NANCY MORROW. He married (2) NANCY PAULINA PITTMAN 10
October, 1869, daughter of JOSEPH PITTMAN and PAMERVA C..
