Hello!
I am new to your list. My main area of interest is trying to find more
information on the following line:

Johnathan F. STROUD, b. 1803, Spartanburg Co., SC, d. Feb. 8, 1887 Madison
Co., AR.
Married Easter Huntsucker Craig sometime around 1824 in Spartanburg Co., SC.
She was born 1805 in SC or TN.
Her last name is a matter of argument even among the family. She was of
Cherokee heritage and was orphaned. Apparently she was raised by a white
family who were either Craig or Huntsucker......we don't know which is the
blood name and which is the adopted name.....and possibly neither are!<g>

Any information on either person would be muchly appreciated.
I live in Missouri and my access to SC records, books, and local history is
very limited.
