If you are referring to the book "History of Spartanburg County" the book was
first published in 1900. There has been two reprints, 1997 and 2002,but no
additional information added to the original. The book, as I understand it, is
out of print and impossible to find at a reasonable price. I have one of
the reprints from 1997, that is badly in need of re-bindering. I also have one
from the 2002 reprint...Neither are for sale. I will be glad to do look-ups
for anyone.
Below is the online index for the book. Pages from 646-722 , contains a
listing of name of senators, and congressmen during that period of history and
military for all division in the Civil War.....it just list the names....with a
rare brief one line statement about the person, mostly relaying if they were
wounded or killed. Pages 723-739 is the index of the book. Pages 1-645
provides some valuable genealogy information for many of the older families of
Spartanburg County.

This is a website for the S.C.Military units .....I believe for the wars
prior to WWI.

You might try seaching in www.google.com for WWII vets and see what you come
up with. My father-in-law was a prisoner during WWII and he found some of the
people he was imprisoned with through Google. It will certainly be worth a
try. You might also try the Spartanburg Library, if you live local, call the
genealogy department and ask what they have available for WWII. I'm sure that
must be something.
Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance.
