Thanks so much for all the work and the reply. I don't believe any of these families are the ones I'm looking for. I know Thomas B. Foster was in the 1850 Anderson, South Carolina census, and the 1870 and 1880 Gregg, South Carolina census. I also have good information that Thomas enlisted in the confederate army in Spartanburg in 1861 (although he was discharged after a few months because of his age {abt 57}). I will keep looking.
