(Just as an aside, the Hathorn will probably be Hawthorn, which was an
anglicisation of the O'Drain or Drain; More was often anglicised as Sarah,
Mirren, Mysie or several variants of these.)

Hi Sarah,

I would really appreciate you taking a look for Alexander McPHEE (or
MacPhee/MacFee/McFee), unfortunately a very popular name.

My MacPhee family has always recited "God Bless the Duke of Argyll"
whenever they would lean against a wall to scratch their own back.
The family story says that the Duke's barracks were so full of lice
that he instructed scratching posts to be installed for the benefit and
itch relief of the men.
