There was a Daniel McMurchy, aged 5, living in, it appears, the household of
John Love (42) and Mary McMurchy (38) at 6 Main Street Campbeltown.

And at The Backs, near Campbeltown, a Daniel and a James - the only James
McMurchy in the index
Daniel McMurchy, 56
Girsel Maxwell, 52
Jean McMurchy, 24
Ann McMurchy, 20
Girsel McMurchy, 18
James McMurchy, 16
Peggy McMurchy, 14
Betty McMurchy, 12

Although there were quite a few Milloy people listed, none was called Neil.

McMurchy/MacMurchy surname, in particular, James McMurchy and Daniel
McMurchy. Another name of interest is Neil Milloy/Malloy/Maloy/Miloy.

I have a copy of the above very useful, but rather rare book, and from
now
until the 8th of January, I have time to do look-ups for anyone
interested
in tracing relatives in the Kintyre peninsula of Argyll.

The parishes covered are Killean & Kilkenzie; Kilcolmkill & Kilblaan ie
Southend; and Kilkivan, Kilkerran, Kilmichichael & Kilchousland ie
Campbeltown; Saddell & Skipness, including Carradale. (It is important
to
note, however, that the Duke was by no means the only landowner in the
area
at that time, so tenants of other landlords are, of course, not
included.)

Perhaps the list administrator can advise me if responses to any query
should go to the whole list, or only to the person asking the question.
