As you expected, the first family were in Corputechan at this time. The
family was
Donald Paterson, 45
Mary Ballantine, 42
John Paterson, 16
Catherine Paterson, 14
Mary Paterson, 10
Charles Paterson, 8
Alexander Paterson, 6
Christian Paterson, 4
There was no entry for a Matthew Paterson, and the only Archibald Paterson
close in age to yours was living in Strathbeg, near Campbeltown, in the
following household
William Paterson, 60
James Paterson, 22
Alexander Paterson, 20
Archibald Paterson, 10
Best regards
Sarah

Sarah,
Thankyou for this kind offer ... if you're not too overwhelmed:
I am interested in Patersons and Bonnitons or Ballantynes (various
spellings) in Corputechan, Killean and Kilchenzie.
The following people were alive in 1792 according to the OPRs, and I
believe may be the correct families.
Donald Paterson and wife Mary Ballentine: children Alexander (b 1787)
and Christian (b 1789)
Mathew Paterson and wife Catherine McAlaster: child ARchibald (b 1787)
Donald Paterson and wife Margaret Ballentine (I believe these to be my
direct line): children born later than 1792.
Thankyou again
Regards
Lloyd
