Hi Jenny,

Sorry no help to you but I have Barbara MacLauren who married Thomas Stout
in Lerwick, Shetland 28 September 1783. I have no idea where she came from
but I don't think it was a Shetland name. She died 20 May 1835 at Lerwick,
age 85 which implies she was born about 1750 ?
I did find a Samuel MacLaren christened 22nd April 1754 at Lerwick, father
Daniel MacLaren, otherwise have drawn a blank.
