Hi,
I saw your surname ANDERSON, and reference to being of Blackadder. I
have a bunch of GIBSON's who are from that area and surrounds. There are
several of them whose forename is Anderson, which I am trying to find the
root of - does any of your research show marriages to GIBSON?

You also asked about SHERIFFHALL. I "lost track" of some of my GIBSON line
there in the mid 1700's with a reference to this place as "hind
Sheriffhall". There is one place listed in Midlothian as Sheriffhall just
west of Dalkeith, and southeast of Edinburgh.
It appears now to be most noted as a rather large "turnabout" which I drove
around on my way to North Berwick on a trip in 2002.
