Hello John,
I noticed that you have a connection with Scottish Maritime Research and
wonder if you may be able to help me. I am searching for a marriage in the
1850s, of a couple who were born in Scotland and turn up in London in 1858,
married with one child . I can not find their marriage in either Scotland or
England and wondered if a marriage at sea was a possibility, and, if so,
where would it have been recorded? I believe there were several ships'
captains in the family, so he could have 'hitched' a lift to London with his
bride. As you can see, I am clutching at any straw at present.
Regards,
Margaret M.
