Just been diagnosed with RSI from all my keyboard work. Spent yesterday
afternoon at physio in Berwick being acupunctured. Think I shall return as a
hedgehog.

Lesley's Whitsome database has Shiells. Less than 10 of all spellings inboth
MI volumes. Whitsome a 20 min walk from N here. One of the Whitsome Shiells
moved to Eyemouth and is a brilliant joiner -built my first kitchen. More
Shiells in Swinton kirkyard. Am obviously in epicentre of Shiells ancestral
territory. Suggest you do OPR lookups in Scotland's People to get some idea
of whom you are seeking as regard dates and places plus the geographic
distribution of Shiells. They will help you pinpoint the parishes, then I
can get going with camera - need some exercise.

Given how porous the border was you may need to branch into NE
Northumberland.
