If you contact me off list, I will provide you a name and email address for a person, who, from what I could gather, has done quite a bit of research on this family name.
I connected with him a few years back while working on my Ormiston family, most helpful. Actually, I did some cemetery photos for him for some Walkinshaw's who immigrated to Canada, settling in Seymour Twp., Northumberland Co., Ontario.
