Dear Nicole,
You will have to get a copy of her birth registration (or her marriage) and
get her parents' names off of it. Since she was born in 1891 the cheapest
way to get a copy is through a Mormon Family History Center, as the 1891
births (and marriages and deaths) have been microfilmed and these films are
available on a rental basis there. (Other years filmed are 1855-75, and
1881.) The years 1855-75 are indexed on their web site, but not 1881 and
1891. If it is not possible for you to get to a FHC, then you would probably
want to write to New Register House, or order on-line through Scottish
Origins.
Once you have her birth registration, you will, I think, find that it also
gives her parents' marriage date and place of marriage. That may also be
available on microfilm if it falls within the above years. Also, don't
forget about the 1891 census index which is also available, I believe, on
Scottish Origins.
Good luck.
