Hi Frances, Stuart & others,
I have a feeling Gorgie Mains may have been around
the Wardlaw area. I don't think it was Chesser Avenue/
Slateford Road. ( I may be wrong if it was early Edinburgh.)
I lived around that area as a child.
My grandparents lived in Hutchison Medway.
Will be interesting to find out.
