There was recent correspondence about casualties during the building.

I have at last found my copy of The Forth Bridge - A Picture History (by
Sheila Mackay, Moubray House Publishing, Rweedale Court, 14 High Street,
Edinburgh; 1990; ISBN 0 948473 13 4; the same publishers also
republished in 1989 William Westhofens book 'The Forth Bridge').

There are no names listed but 518 men were taken to hospital during
construction; of these 57 died on site. The fate of the remainder is not
known.
