was someone enquiring about a ROLAND who was a fencing master in Edinburgh.

This is from Smail's Jedburgh Almanac and Advertiser 1876-80


Under Jedburgh Academy "The Nest": "for board and education of young
gentlemen"

Fencing &c., Mr Roland


The volume has five years of the almanac bound into one book. The Tutor of
English is different each time - one year Mr Roland is listed as filling
that post as well!
