Subject: [EDB] help with occupation

A friend has sent this query to me and as we are both stumped I thought I'd
post it and see if anyone has any ideas. My first impression was Jamboiler!

Now then, one of MY rellies, female, gave as her occupation in the 1841
census something that looks like : Jamboner ; Iamboiler ;
Jamboirer.............. Wish I had a scanner to send it to you. The first
letter is an "I" or a "J", the "b" is a definate, the "oi" or "on" could be
a "w" ; further down the page it's writen again, the person concerned is
also female. Any theories ?? I've just looked again and the "J" could be a
"T".

thanks
Carol
