Guess you have already tried www.scots-origins for the marriage cert? (Or
the death certs of the couple?)

That should you give the names of both sets of parents and you would then be
able to tie your man in with the 1881 refs provided by Mary Clark.

Torphican is probably Torphichen. Place, which happens to be the location of
the present police station for the area.

I have Almanacs which list a Police Station in Torphichen Street in 1911 and
one round the corner in Torphichen Place in 1921.

Alexander LATTO, possibly born in early 1870s, died 1935. He
