oops I forgot her name in first message
I am new to this

I am trying to find my G/Grandmother who was born in St Cuthberts
Edinburgh abt 1 May 1849 daughter of Robert Wilson & Jane (nee)
McPherson.Parents were married in Inveresk with Musselburgh in
1847.
I found them in 1861 census, when they were residing in Queen Street
Glasgow, but had no luck when I viewed films from local LDS Church
for
1851census. She had brothers who were also born at St Cuthberts
whom I
found, but that was 1856onwards.So Alice should have been on 1851
census
for Edinburgh I expect I need to view Parish records to get her birth?
Has
anyone got any ideas where to go next? TIA
