Stranraer, Wigtownshire, July 22, 1849
" This day, William Black of this parish and Jane Ferguson, daughter of Archibald Ferguson of St Cuthberts, Edinburgh
were duly proclaimed in the parish Church here in order to Marriage, and no objections having been offered, they were
lawfully married at Edinburgh on the 24th July, 1849 by the Rev James Kirkwood. "
