1. Alexander John SKENE (1, 2) was born on 31 Mar 1820 and died on 22 Aug 1894 in "Ellesmere", St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia, at age 74.
Noted events in his life were:
. He was employed. Surveyor General Victoria
. Arrival in Australia: on the Ship "Superb" in 1839.
Alexander married Catherine Margaret WILLIAMSON, daughter of James WILLIAMSON and Isobella BATHGATE, on 31 Aug 1842 in Victoria, Australia. Catherine was born on 2 Dec 1821 and died in 1879 in "Ellesmere", St Kilda, Melbourne, Australia, at age 58.
Children from this marriage were:

6 F v. Catherine Margaret Auldjo SKENE (1, 5) was born on 27 Mar 1859 in St.Kilda, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia and died in 1932, at age 73.
