and for a small investment you can access the General Register Office for
Scotland records at:
http://www.scotlandspeople.gov.uk/
Access to the 1861 and 1871 census is more difficult for most of us. I'm
told that these are being indexed and will be available at the
Scotlandspeople site next year.(and 1841 and 1851)
