Hi All,
I hope I'm on the right list. I was looking for a "Leith" list, but not
finding one, did a google search, and it told me Leith was Edinburgh??
My wifes ancestors came from the Isle of Skye. NICOLSONS. We found the will
of the person who was their sponser when they emigrated to New Zealand, he
was also a Nicolson, (Donald, b. c. 1825), and as he is buried with our
John & Flora Nicolson, we guess he's probably a relative too.
Now Leith comes into things because he left his estate to his nieces,
Mrs. David Hucker,
Mrs. Mary Pearson,
& Mrs. Peter Robb, all of Leith.
He died in 1913. If any of these names ring any bells, please reply direct.
Sorry this is a bit long-winded but we are keen to find where Donald links
in to "our" Nicolsons.
Regards,
Stan Jones
