I am trying to find the family of James and Mary Platt, with 2 sons Henry and Edward. I have an old letter written by Mary to her sister Rebecca Darby probably about 1850. The address at the top of the letter is 16 Market St,Edinburgh and the beautiful writing paper has a picture of Edinburgh Castle at its head. The handwritng is cross-written and is a treasure for me to have after all these years.
Is it possible for anyone to access the 1851 census???
