Records of the various Gas Companies are deposited with the Scottish Record
Office -the National Archives of Scotland - at West Register House where
I've consulted them in the past.

My wife's g'father worked for the Edinburgh Gas Light Company during the
latter part of the 1800s. Please can sks tell me how to go about finding any
information about the company, ie records of employees etc.
