have you registered on the genesreunited.co.uk site?
there's a couple of people that have isabella Rutherford b 1846 ish Scotland/ Edin/ fife in their tree.
also someone with Peter Abbott born Lancs 1840

might be worth getting in touch with them cos it might be a link that you're looking for.
