Now for my PROBLEM
Hay DUNCAN b: ~1853 m: Christina ROBERTSON
children are my mother's direct family and not listed at this
stage.

Hay DUNCAN states father was Hay DUNCAN (s.o. John and Mary) and mother
Ellen ANDERSON. did he get his mother's name wrong.. and was it really
Ann ???

Cannot find his birth anywhere..
1. Have him at his grandparents (John and Mary ) BUT is Hay HIGGINS.
Higgins was the married name of his father's sister ???? This is in 1861
census.

2. Birth at 1853 was prior to Hay DUNCAN marrying Ann ANDERSON

3. Hay DUNCAN and Ann ANDERSON had a son in 1864 (who died
unfortunately), but why name a son by the same name as a living one ???
if Hay was the father and Ann the mother ???

Maybe he was born illegit to Hay and Ann, and went to live with his
Aunt... or ...

Hope someone might find some names here which connect.. and also may
stumble across my Hay DUNCAN 1853's birth. (Maybe he was registered as
Higgins, or Anderson and this is why I have not yet found his birth)
