Hi!
My name is Pam Fairweather Thomson, a Canadian, born in New Zealand,
from a FAIRWEATHER family which left Scotland in 1841. Unfortunately
both Robert FAIRWEATHER and his wife Barbara PALMER died in New Zealand
in 1851, leaving a large family of young children. This has made it more
difficult to trace their Scottish origins. I have recently taken on the
management of the FAIRWEATHER mailing list & GenConnect boards. I would
be very interested to hear from anyone who has *any* FAIRWEATHER names
in his/her database. I'm trying to record as much information as I can
in hopes of matching people with their ancestors. I have found several
FAIRWEATHERS in Fife and in Caithness. By far the majority of people
with this surname lived in Angus/Forfar. I would be happy to hear from
anyone on or off list, as you feel appropriate, and of course, I would
welcome the participation of any Fairweather researchers on the mailing
list.
Thanks,
Pam
