Hi Margaret
Yes I think this Alexander is the same. Would love to hear more about your
Bowman's. Alexander Bowman was married to Jean Collier 25 Nov 1791 in
Dunfermline. Have you got any more information on Archibald Bowman and
Margaret Williamson. I believe they married around 1757. Archibald Bowman
is my husband's 5th Grt Grandfather.
Regards
Maryanne

Hi! Maryanne,
Thanks for responding, I think you ALEXANDER BOWMAN is the son of Archibald
Bowman and Margaret Williamson. I have their children as:
1. John b/chr. 12/3/1758 Dunfermline
2. William b. 28/10/1760 " my Grt.Grt.Grt.Grd.Father
3. Archibald b/c 16/1/1763 "
4. ALEXANDER b/c 20/10/1765 "
5. Elizabeth b/c 18/10/1768 Torryburn
6. Margaret b/c 1871771 "
7. Thomas b/c 4/6/1780 Dunfermline
My BOWMANs all seem to have been miners who moved about the mining areas of
Fife.
OPR for the marriage of WILLIAM BOWMAN to JEAN HUNTER say:-
Marriage of William Bowman, coalhewer at Halbeath and Jean Hunter both of
this parish gave in their names for proclomation for intent to marriage,
being regulars were proclaimed and no objections made married 19/11/1784
Margaret.
