Subject: Absent from Home on 1841 Census night
Date: Sun, 10 Dec 2000 09:40:17 +1030
I would like to throw this enigma to the open list to see what possibilities
can be offered!!
James CLARK (1805-1843) was not recorded at his family home, 'Lonehead' -
Kilrenny Parish, along with the rest of his family on Census night in 1841.
A couple of kind listers, Doreen & Capndavy, have checked the whole Kilrenny
Census and those of neighbouring parishes for him, but to no avail.
The question is where could he have been on Census night considering his
extended family all lived in Fife and that he died two years later at the
age of 38 years resident of Kilrenny Parish.
I wonder if he could have been in a Hospital or some other institution on
that night and which one? or if, following the theme of the current FFHS
Journal, he might even have been in prison but again which one?
Any alternative suggestions or solutions to like experiences would be
appreciated!!
Kind regards
Keith Clark
