Hi folks,
I requested a cost for an 1814 Parish Record Marriage Cert. in Scotland [place shall remain unnamed] and was quoted 30 pounds, Whew!!! I am not sure how many dollars in a pound but there will be at least 2 and a bit, as it is for the $US There is a handy guy here in N.Z. who did it for me, sent me an email and a cert for $16 N.Z. and I had the results in less than 2 weeks. Have used him a number of times, now fast and inexpensive.
You will probably find it the cheapest getting someone who has the contacts and does it in your own country.
