Subject: Robert PETRIE & Marion SPEEDIE

According to what I've found Marrion SPEEDIE was born to Alexander SPEEDIE &
Margaret DUFF circa 1816 in Abernethy, Perth. This couple also had a son
James SPEEDIE born 8 Nov 1828 Abernethy (James appears 1881 census in
Dunshalt, Auchtermuchty with his family).

Robert PETRIE's parents were John PETRIE & Elizabeth STEVENS (might appear
as STIVENS). Cannot find anything on these people apart from Robert's
death:

Robert PETRIE, Labourer (widower of Marion SPEEDIE) died
1st March 1900 6h0m PM, Dunshalt, Auchtermuchty aged 86 years
Father: John PETRIE weaver deceased
Mother: Euphemia STEVENS deceased
Cause of death: The death of this man was sudden and in my opinion due to
natural causes as certified by Alex SHEARER, MD of Auchtermuchty
Informant: William NIVEN his Grandson of High Street, Methil.

Wish I could find out more about John PETRIE and Euphemia STEVENS as I have
a gut feeling they may belong on my database!! Perhaps not - may just be
wishful thinking!

Marion PETRIE (married to Robert PETRIE)
died 25th Sep 1889 11h0m PM at Dunshalt, Auchtermuchty aged 73 years
Father: Alexander SPEEDIE, Farmer, deceased
Mother: Margaret DUFF, deceased
Cause of death: Supposed Paralysis suddenly - no medical attendant
Informant: Robert PETRIE her widower (present)

Robert and Marion appear 1881 Census Dunshalt, Auchtermuchty.
