Hello listers,
Thanks to all who helped with the Gray, Dunn & Co dilema. I have
another question. Is there anyone on list who has access to the 1871 census
records for Tradeston, Glasgow? I'm trying to find out if any of my PARK
family is still at 63 Clyde Place, Tradeston. In 1861 there was Magnus PARK,
a river pilot, Mary Ann, his wife, Wiliam M (who would have been 27 in
1871), Edward U. (who would be 24 in 1871) and Mary C, (who would be 22).
I can't seem to find Edward at all on the 1881 census records, and I am
wondering if he is the Edward Park that my family says died in a diving
accident at college. (They've told me it was William M's son, Edward, but
they could be wrong). If I can get the PARK family living in 1871 that would
sure help in tracking Edward.
On William's marriage record in June of 1871, one of the witnesses was
Mary C. Vaulder (at least it looks like a "V" ) and I am wondering if my Mary
C Park was the same person, perhaps married by then. But again, I can't seem
to find any Vaulder on the 1881 census records.
Can anyone help out?? thanks much!!
